Fire. Stopping

Contego core business is Fire Stopping penetration treatments throughout New builds and existing. This will involve treating all services penetrations and structural member penetrations where they pass through a Fire separation to maintain the performance of that fire rated wall, floor or ceiling.

Key to success in delivery in this field is our expert knowledge of compliant products, co-ordination with the other trades, compliant installation, training and QA recording and handover documentation

Contego. has a rare ability in that we can complete all available Structural Steel protection systems used in buildings as listed below. Other companies will perform one system, but not all. Our all round service ensures clients get the best for project system and outcome.

Intumescent Coatings

(Intumescent Paint)

The supply and application of thin film intumescent paint, which is applied to structural steel at the required thickness to achieve a specified level of fire protection.

Cementitious Spray

The supply and application of thick film cementitious spray which is applied to structural steel to achieve a specified level of fire protection.

Board Encasement

Installation of specialist fire rated boards to provide fire protection to structural steel using specialist design and build skills and carpentry resources.

Insulated Board Encasement

Installation of specialist fire rated insulation boards to provide fire protection to structural steel using specialist design and build skills and trained staff.
